SARDA OFF-ROAD NATIONALS 2021 ROUND 1 – ZWARTKOPS RCX

RACE REPORT BY LOURENS BADENHORST

The 2021 South African National Championship for Off-Road Nitro kicked off on Friday the 12^th of March in the blue skies of the Highveld in Gauteng Pretoria situated at the Zwartkops Raceway track.

With air temperatures reaching above 30°C it allowed the track temperature to reach above 60°C in the early afternoon allowing most drivers who capitalised on the high traction to run personal best times of 1-2 seconds faster than usual.

2020 SARDA On-road Nitro Round 1 – TVR Race Report

FINALLY – after 6 months of lockdown, the smell of nitro and the sound of screaming engines at full tap through the wicked-fast sweepers at TVR.

Round 1 of the 2020 Nationals kicked off at TVR and it was great to see that there were absolutely no signs of rust. The top guys were incredibly quick, and we were presented with a beautifully groomed track (thanks Arnie!) that delivered the pace we have come to love at TVR.

2019 SARDA National Off-road Nationals Round 4 – Report

Ultra Raceway was host to the 4th & Final round of the SARDA National Championship in Pretoria, South Africa. Ultra Raceway was very challenging with a good mixture of open high speed sections and tight technical sections also adding to the challenge was its bumpy high grip carpet surface, Rocketing temperatures also made it tricky. All this provided us with some of the most exciting racing we have seen this year with everyone hunting the top step of the podium.

The second round of the 2019 SARDA ORE nationals was held at Trap Raceway in Pretoria.

2019 SARDA National EP Off-road Championship Rd2 – Report

TRAP Raceway was host to the 2nd round of the SARDA National Championship in Pretoria, South Africa. TRAP being a tight track with not many oppurtunities to pass makes qualifying in a good position vital, this also led to some of closest and most exciting racing we have seen for a while with everyone hunting the top step of the podium.

2019 1/12th Nationals Round 1 – Welkom RC Arena

Caroli and Greeff win 1/12^th in South Africa

The first round of the 2019 South-African ORE 1/12^th national championship series was held at the Welkom RC Arena on Saturday 16 February 2019. It was a small event with only one heat in each class. The drivers enjoyed the awesome facility and super smooth and high traction track that Antonio Caroli prepared for the day.

2018 1/12th Nationals Round 4 – Welkom RC Arena

Caroli and Lester win 1/12th in South Africa

The fourth and final round of the 2018 South-African ORE 1/12th national championship series was held at the Welkom RC Arena on Saturday 24 November 2018. SARDA 2018 On-Road Electric National Championship

Kotze and De Gouveia retain their SA Titles

The 2018 season of the South African On-Road Electric National Championship is complete and Hein Kotze (Awesomatix) (TC Mod) and Pedro de Gouveia (Xray) (F1) managed to retain their national titles.
