Caroli and Greeff win 1/12^th in South Africa

The first round of the 2019 South-African ORE 1/12^th national championship series was held at the Welkom RC Arena on Saturday 16 February 2019. It was a small event with only one heat in each class. The drivers enjoyed the awesome facility and super smooth and high traction track that Antonio Caroli prepared for the day.

1/12^th Scale Modified

Antonio Caroli continued his good pace from 2018 and raced to a well-deserved TQ and win in the mains. The battle for second between Xray team mates Shaun Schutte and Willie du Plooy continued with Willie securing 2^nd place and Shaun a well-deserved 3^rd place.

1/12^th Stock (13.5 Blinky)

André Greeff joined the 1/12^th Stock series for 2019 and had a great battle with Pat Lester for the TQ and Win. Pat had some bad luck which gave André the opportunity to secure the TQ and also winning all three mains. Pat managed his second place and Pieter Swemmer secured a well-deserved 3^rd place for his first season in 1/12 after having a good battle with Ewert Snyman. A new lady driver, Cathy Lester also joined the 2019 season and had a good stable day at the races.
